The various types of pencils are differentiated on the basis of their nature, hardness and the shades of the lead used to make the given pencils. |
HB vs No.2 Pencil
Both, the HB and No. 2 pencil, are the same type of pencils. The term HB is widely used in England, whereas the term ‘No. 2’ is widely used in America. |
H vs HB Pencil
The difference between the two pencils is that the ‘HB’ pencil has a medium lead, whereas H pencil has a soft lead. |

HB vs F Pencil
Pencils are marked on the basis of a European system called ‘the degree scale’, wherein a HB pencil has a medium range lead and the F pencil has a fine point, which is harder than a HB pencil. |
