Tennis is played mainly on four courts; clay court and grass court are amongst them. As the names suggests, clay court is made up of clay, whereas grass court is made up of grass.

Clay and Sand differ in their particle size. The clay is a stiff, sticky fine-grained earth, whereas sand is a loose granular substance.

Secular means not concerned with or related to religion. A sectarian is a person who is narrowly confined or religiously devoted to a particular sect or group.
