Ebola vs Dengue

The Ebola Virus named for the Ebola River, is mainly transmitted by contact with blood or other bodily fluids of infected humans or other animals. Dengue, on the other hand, is mainly transmitted through the bite of a mosquito. Ebola kills 25% to 90% of the people that it infects, while only less than 5% of the people infected with Dengue fever are at risk of dying.
Ebola vs Lassa Fever

Ebola is caused by the five different species of ebolaviruses. Lassa fever, on the other hand is caused by the Lassa virus. The Ebola virus is mainly carried by fruit bats or transmitted through human-to-human contact. Lassa fever, on the other hand, is carried and transmitted by the Natal Multimammate Mouse.
Different types of Doctors

Doctors refer to healthcare physicians who practice medicine. There are many different types of doctors depending upon their focus area. Some of the doctors are involved in patient care while some provide support to the work of these doctors. A doctor may also specialize in one or more sub-specialties.
Sepsis vs Infection

An infection is a phenomenon which is caused by invasion of microorganisms or germs into the body. It can be limited to a body region or can be widespread. Sepsis is the body’s response to an infection. It is generally associated with inflammatory response and eventually organ dysfunction and/or failure. Thus, if an infection is left untreated or not treated properly then an infection can often progress to sepsis.
Flu vs Bird Flu

Flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by an RNA virus from the family known as orthomyxoviridae. It affects birds and mammals. On the other hand, Bird Flu is caused by influenza Type viruses. It infects birds and sometimes it can be transmitted to humans too.
Bird Flu vs Swine Flu

Bird Flu is a type of viral infection which is contagious and it affects birds. It is caused by Bird Flu Virus (H5N1 Influenza A virus). Swine Flue is an influenza that affects pigs. It is caused by any of several types of swine influenza virus.
Jaundice vs Yellow Fever

Jaundice is a medical condition that occurs due to elevated levels of the pigment known as bilirubin, whereas Yellow Fever is a viral infection that is transmitted by a mosquito known as 'Aedes aegypti'.
Types of Hepatitis

Hepatitis is a disease caused by various viruses. It mainly causes inflammation of the liver and is characterized by the presence of inflammatory cells in the tissue of the liver. The condition may be self-limiting, which means that it heals on its own over time or it may lead to fibrosis, i.e. scarring of the liver and cirrhosis. There are five different viruses that cause hepatitis: hepatitis A virus (HAV), hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV), hepatitis D virus (HDV) and hepatitis E virus (HEV). However, hepatitis can also be caused by toxic substances, such as alcohol, certain medications, some industrial organic solvents, plants, other infections and autoimmune diseases.

Flu vs Swine Flu

The main difference between the regular flu and swine flu is the fact that they are caused by different pathogens. Influenza, commonly known as the flu, is caused by the RNA viruses of the family Orthomyxoviridae. Swine influenza, on the other hand, is caused by another type of virus. Swine influenza is caused by the swine influenza virus (SIV) or swine-origin influenza virus (S-OIV). These viruses are any strain of the influenza family of viruses that is common in pigs.
Cold vs Flu

Influenza, commonly known as the flu, is caused by the RNA viruses of the family Orthomyxoviridae. The common cold, on the other hand, can be caused by over 200 different viruses. The most common virus blamed with causing the cold are the rhinoviruses.
Epidemic vs Pandemic

An epidemic is where there are numerous breakouts of a single disease. A pandemic, on the other hand, is when the disease starts to spread on a larger scale than an epidemic. A pandemic is essentially a bigger epidemic.
Measles vs Chickenpox

Measles is a respiratory disease that is caused by Paramyxovirus virus from the Morbillivirus genus. Chickenpox is one of the most common diseases that children acquire and is caused by the varicella zoster virus (VZV).
