Types of Pencils
The various types of pencils are differentiated on the basis of their nature, hardness and the shades of the lead used to make the given pencils.
HB vs No.2 Pencil
Both, the HB and No. 2 pencil, are the same type of pencils. The term HB is widely used in England, whereas the term ‘No. 2’ is widely used in America.
H vs HB Pencil
The difference between the two pencils is that the ‘HB’ pencil has a medium lead, whereas H pencil has a soft lead.
HB vs 2H Pencil
The difference between the two pencils is that the ‘HB’ pencil has a medium lead, whereas 2H pencil has a soft lead.
HB vs F Pencil
Pencils are marked on the basis of a European system called ‘the degree scale’, wherein a HB pencil has a medium range lead and the F pencil has a fine point, which is harder than a HB pencil.
