Difference between Blower and Heater

Key Difference: Blower and Heater are two different types of electrical devices. A blower refers to any device that blows air, whereas a heater refers to any device that creates heat as its main function. A heater blower, on the other hand, effectively blows hot air; hence the blower part of it directs the heated air from the heater part into a particular direction.

Blower and Heater are two different types of electrical devices. A blower refers to any device that blows air, whereas a heater refers to any device that creates heat as its main function. A blower can also refer to a blower fan, whose main function is to blow air into the machine that it is attached to.

A blower is essentially used to blow air into a particular place or into a particular direction. The machine generally uses centrifugal force to propel the air forward. This air can be directed into the machine that the blower fan is attached to or away from it. The fan actually has a casing on its circumference, which directs the air. The actual design of the blades decides how the air is propelled and how efficient the air blower is. There are five main types of blower blade designs: forward-curved, backward-inclined, backward-curved, radial and airfoil.

A heater, on the other hand, is any machine that creates heat. The two main types of heaters are air heaters and water heaters. As their name indicates, the air heaters heat up a room by heating up the air in that room, whereas, a water heater heats up water. A water heater is the most common type of heater used, as almost each home has one. Still, there are different types of water heaters, such as electric, gas, etc. Alternatively, an air heater is often used only in places that are quite cold. The heater can be used to counteract the cold by heating up the air. Still, air heaters are most effective when used in an enclosed room.

A heater blower effectively blows hot air; hence the blower part of it directs the heated air from the heater part into a particular direction. There is also a fireplace blower, which is a blower that can be attached to a fireplace. It then blows the air heated by the fireplace into the rest of the house.
