Difference between Inspire and Aspire

Key Difference: To Inspire means to arouse and encourage, so that one can accomplish something in life. On the other hand, to aspire means to wish, dream and pursue something.

Inspire and aspire are two terms that are often confused. They may sound similar but they are two different terms. Both are very important for human beings. They arouse as very interesting phrases that are mainly reflected in the actions of the person and the person is more motivated to accomplish his objectives and ambitions. To inspire may also evolve from within, whereas to aspire is always drive by inner feelings.

The Oxford Dictionary defines inspire as “fill (someone) with the urge or ability to do or feel something, especially to do something creative.” It denotes that some kind of influence is involved in the process of stimulation. An inspiring individual has the weird potential to light the fire in other, so that they can accomplish something in life. It is very important for everyone to have a particular thing or an individual in their life who will inspire them to do and create something with enthusiasm. To be inspired, the most important thing is the source of inspiration. This is the entity under whose influence, one would do something. This source can be another person, a song, a painting, a story, a photograph, and many other numerous things.

The Oxford Dictionary defines aspire as “direct one’s hopes or ambitions towards achieving something.” It denotes that one want to be successful or attain a particular goal. Aspire in a solo mode can be limiting. Inside, one feels good about what they are thinking, writing, and doing. However, without others involved, it loses some shine. It doesn’t mean that one always needs listeners or spectators for what they aspire to do; it is about how people are needed to make things happen in real, meaningful ways. Aspiration means that you are always short from reaching to the point you aspire, because once you achieve success in what you had aspired, then it will no longer be an aspiration. Without inspiration; aspirations are never achieved and expectations are never met.

Inspiration and aspiration example in a paragraph:

'For their own sake and the nation’s sake, all youth must have goals and aspirations to do fine and reach their utmost potential in life. Many women have done much better than men. Use them as inspiration and work towards your thoughts or dreams. Your achievement is what will finally make men respect women.' As you must have noticed that how aspiration and inspiration have played their role in this paragraph/example.

In a nutshell, one who aspires to inspire is always enthusiastic about helping persons move beyond their boundaries and help them see what they can do and be what they imagine.
