Difference between Nausea and Vomiting

Key difference: Nausea is a feeling of physical unwellness, usually with the desire to vomit. Vomiting is basically preceded by nausea.

Nausea and vomiting both are the terms that seems to be similar to each other. however, they have different meanings.

Wikipedia defines Nausea as, “a sensation of unease and discomfort in the upper stomach with an involuntary urge to vomit.” The word nausea has been derived from the word ‘nausia’, meaning motion sickness. Nausea does not have a specific symptom, but it has many possible causes. Nausea basically is a sickness of the stomach that occurs after having food. It especially happens by a strong dislike/disgust or bad feeling, and that may lead to an impulse to vomit.

Wikipedia defines Vomiting as, “Vomiting (known medically as emesis and informally as throwing up and numerous other terms) is the forceful expulsion of the contents of one's stomach through the mouth and sometimes the nose.” Vomiting is the phenomena that involves the throwing out of the matter present in the human body. It happens when a person does not feel good and pukes. There could be multiple reasons for it. The person who vomits in an aggressive way can be very dangerous.
