Difference between Quiz and Test

Key difference:  The words quiz and test co-relate to each other. Quiz is a short small term test, which is supposed to be responded to quickly, whereas test is a procedural exam which requires time.

The word quiz is generally, defined as ‘a test of knowledge, especially, a brief, informal test’.

These are conducted in school levels, and are short term small tests, which are essential for the further bigger tests. They are commonly in game forms. They are conducted in competitions, where the participants compete with each other to solve the questions. 

A quiz is a form of game or mind sport in which the players (as individuals or in teams) attempt to answer the questions correctly. They are brief assessments used in education fields to measure the growth of one's knowledge, abilities and skills.

Test means ‘a short written or spoken examination of a person's proficiency or knowledge’

In test, there is a procedural approach to know about the knowledge and content. Test can be lengthy of short. They are used to examine an individual’s knowledge regarding concepts. They are probably taken to check one's interest and knowledge in that relevant field. They are procedures, which are intended to establish the quality, performance, or reliability of something, especially, before they are taken in widespread. On the basis of the test, many of the exams are conducted which helps the authorities to select the candidates, if they have cleared the specified criteria.
